Wash House Down Well country

Its name means well below and formerly it was complemented by the Pou de d'Alt or well above. It is the closest well to the center of Benissa, so in the past many women used to go there to wash their clothes. The washhouse has a basin divided into two areas, one for washing and the other for rinsing. These washing places are usually characterized by being large constructions, made of concrete and are usually located in the middle of nature. 💡Curiosities Formerly these wells were only attended by women, becoming a meeting point where they could talk and discuss their problems or concerns. Men were even forbidden to enter. 🗺 How to get there?
