Paseo Ecológico de Benissa

It is a signposted trail with informative panels that reveal aspects of the local culture and history, as well as information about its geological origin and the fauna and flora that inhabit it. The route is divided into several sections and can be done throughout the year. It can be done in its entirety or simply take a walk along one of its environmental itineraries, up to a cove. This route reveals interesting aspects of the natural and cultural heritage, as it passes through an old quarry for the extraction of eolianite, commonly known as piedra tosca (rough stone). It was used for the construction of buildings such as the Sala del Consell (16th century). The route covers a micro environmental reserve with unique botanical species, such as cat's-head rockrose and bigheaded thyme. As for its services, at the final destination we find the Club Nautico Les Bassetes, two restaurants, a sailing school and a diving school.
